Why QuickQR
Most QR generators are a funnel: free until the code is printed, then a subscription to keep it alive. This one has nothing to upsell, because it has no server to bill you for.
Nothing is stored
No account, no upload, no database. The code is drawn in your browser and never leaves it. Close the tab and it is gone, which also means there is nothing about you for anyone to lose.
No watermark, no expiry
What you download is the finished file. Your link is encoded into the pattern itself rather than routed through this site, so the code keeps working even if QuickQR disappears.
It checks its own work
Contrast is measured before you download and malformed links are caught as you type, so you find out here rather than after five hundred flyers come back from the printer.
What it deliberately does not do
There is no scan tracking and no editing a code after you have printed it. Both require the code to point at a redirect server that logs every visit, which means storing your data and keeping infrastructure running — the exact things that turn a free tool into a subscription. If you need those, you need a paid dynamic-QR service, and it is worth knowing that before you print rather than after.
